提問：Also、too、likewise、besides、moreover以及furthermore 這些字彼此之間有什麼不同？

回答：

Also、too和 likewise通常意味著新增的元素或用來表示和前面已提出的內容具有同樣的份量。

Also 在語氣上比too 還要正式：

He is gentle, but he is also capable of fierce combat.

If you buy a car, you’ll need a parking place, too.

Likewise 比also還要正式，並可能意味著這些元素間彼此不僅地位對等、內容也有所相似：

The parents were likewise going to attend the ceremony.

Besides 引導的元素通常會再次強調前面的內容：

I don’t feel like cooking; besides, there’s no food in the house.

Moreover 和 furthermore 通常強調承接其後內容的重要性：

The cellar was dark and frightening; moreover, I knew some mice had nested there.

I don’t want you to go; furthermore, I forbid it.
